Tout début 2011, sortait la première version de « Erik Satie et les nouveaux jeunes » avec entre autres des artistes comme Max Richter, Dustin O’Halloran, Peter Broderick, Nils Frahm, Pan American, Rachel Grimes, Goldmund, Rafael Anton Irisarri, Sylvain Chauveau…. C’était un double Cd (visuel vert). Son tirage était de 1000 exemplaires. L’idée était de rendre hommage au compositeur et montrer combien sa musique a influencé la création contemporaine. La musique de Erik Satie reste inactuelle et donc profondément moderne. Le disque non distribué, sera indisponible en quelques semaines. En 2015, Arbouse recordings décide d’éditer un second volume (Cd coffret orange) avec les 2 cds originaux, plus un troisième Cd avec des inédits de Carlos Cipa, Delphine Dora, AG, James Warden, François-Eudes Chamfrault… Le coffret est encore une fois en passe d’être épuiser. Pendant longtemps, la question d’une édition vinyle s’est posée. En effet un certain nombre d’acheteurs du coffret regrettaient qu’il n’existe pas une édition dans ce format. Cyril Caucat le fondateur et animateur d’Arbouse recordings s’est interrogé longuement sur l’utilité d’un tel projet, et surtout sa pertinence. Le coût de l’édition d’un coffret vinyle composé d’au moins 3 vinyles s’est avéré exorbitant et inaccessible pour une structure telle qu’Arbouse recordings (surtout sans garantie de rentrer dans ses fonds). Le projet est donc logiquement tombé aux oubliettes.

Vers 2019, 2020, le projet a été relancé par hasard. En effet un auditeur ayant découvert le coffret Cd, contacta Arbouse recordings. Il travaillait pour une maison d’édition/Label parisien. Il proposa à Arbouse recordings d’éditer un album vinyle mais avec une sélection de titres de l’ensemble. Ce projet semblait être sur le point de voir le jour jusqu’à ce que l’interlocuteur en question disparaisse des radars, et qu’encore une fois, tout soit rangé dans les tiroirs.

En 2022, une série intitulée « Erik Satie Serie » est inaugurée avec la sortie d’un 10’Lp d’Astatine « La fréquentation assidue des lisières », proposant des morceaux inspirés par l’œuvre de Satie.

En 2024, Arbouse recordings qui ne capitule pas si rapidement, s’interrogea à nouveau sur la pertinence d’une édition vinyle du projet. Il fût décidé après maintes tergiversations de sortir une édition ultra limitée (31 copies) au format 10’, avec 4 morceaux sélectionnés et tirés du coffret 3 Cds (des titres de Dustin O ‘Halloran, Peter Broderick, Hauschka, et Rafael Anton Irisarri & Goldmund), complétée par un inédit du compositeur Sébastien Radiguet, dont le travail avait été découvert chez Onto records, avec son album «Lentomania». Ce projet s’intitule « Erik Satie & Les nouveaux jeunes » suite # 1. Il sortira d’ici quelques semaines. Il a été rendu possible grâce au talent et l’inventivité de Vincent Paturel (by-vince.com), graphiste émérite ainsi qu’au soutien inconditionnel et la technicité de Guilhem (Madrid, Thousand&Bramier) pour le mastering.

Erik Satie's music remains out of date and therefore profoundly modern. The undistributed disc will be unavailable in a few weeks. In 2015, Arbouse recordings decided to publish a second volume (Cd orange box set) with the 2 original cds, plus a third Cd with unreleased tracks by Carlos Cipa, Delphine Dora, AG, James Warden, François-Eudes Chamfrault… The box set is once again on the verge of exhaustion. For a long time, the question of a vinyl edition arose. In fact, a certain number of buyers of the box set regretted that there was not an edition in this format. Cyril Caucat, the founder and host of Arbouse recordings, questioned at length the usefulness of such a project, and especially its relevance. The cost of publishing a vinyl box set made up of at least 3 vinyls turned out to be exorbitant and inaccessible for a structure such as Arbouse recordings (especially without guarantee of recouping its funds). The project therefore logically fell into oblivion.

Around 2019, 2020, the project was restarted by chance. In fact, a listener having discovered the CD box set, contacted Arbouse recordings. He worked for a Parisian publishing house/Label. He proposed to Arbouse recordings to publish a vinyl album but with a selection of titles from the set. This project seemed to be on the verge of seeing the light of day until the person in question disappeared from the radar, and once again, everything was put in the drawers.

In 2022, a series entitled “Erik Satie Serie” is inaugurated with the release of a 10’Lp by Astatine “La fréquentation assidue des lisières”, offering pieces inspired by Satie’s work.

In 2024, Arbouse recordings, which did not capitulate so quickly, once again questioned the relevance of a vinyl edition of the project. It was decided after much procrastination to release an ultra limited edition (31 copies) in 10' format, with 4 pieces selected and taken from the 3 Cds box set (titles by Dustin O' Halloran, Peter Broderick, Hauschka, and Rafael Anton Irisarri & Goldmund), supplemented by an unreleased piece by composer Sébastien Radiguet, whose work was discovered at Onto records, with his album “Lentomania”. This project is called “Erik Satie & les Nouveaux Jeunes” suite #1. It will be released in a few weeks. It was made possible thanks to the talent and inventiveness of Vincent Paturel (by-vince.com), distinguished graphic designer, as well as the unconditional support and technical expertise of Guilhem (Madrid, Thousand&Bramier) for the mastering.
